Sodium Thiosulfate (Sodium Hyposulfite) Powder Lab Grade 99+% Purity

Sodium thiosulfate, also known as sodium hyposulfite, is supplied as a lab grade powder at 99+% purity. It is the classic photographic fixer, dissolving unexposed silver halide from film and paper, and it is equally standard as a dechlorinating agent in water and wastewater treatment and in aquarium water conditioning.

In the analytical lab it is the titrant used in iodometry, where its reaction with iodine gives a sharp endpoint. It is also used medically as part of the antidote regimen for cyanide poisoning and in agriculture as a sulfur source.
