Sodium Nitrate NaNO₃

Sodium nitrate (NaNO₃) is supplied here as a fine white crystalline food-grade powder at 99%+ purity. It is an oxygen-rich oxidizer, and in pyrotechnics it is used in illumination flares, tracers and yellow-emitting compositions, where the sodium ion gives the characteristic golden-yellow flame color.

Outside pyrotechnics, sodium nitrate is a long-standing fertilizer nitrogen source and a curing salt used as a food preservative. This material is non-GMO, gluten free, vegan and OU kosher certified. Handle it as an oxidizer and keep it away from combustible material.
