This platinized titanium mesh anode measures 7.87 by 1.97 inches and consists of a titanium substrate with a platinum coating. The titanium base resists corrosion in aggressive electrolytes while the platinum surface carries the reaction, so the anode is dimensionally stable and does not dissolve into the bath.
The mesh format gives a large active area and lets evolved gas escape freely, which helps keep current distribution even. It is used in electroplating, electrowinning, electrolysis cells, water treatment and general metal finishing work in both lab and production settings.
