Methylene Blue 1% USP Pharmaceutical Grade 30ml

Methylene blue 1% USP is a pharmaceutical grade aqueous solution of the thiazine dye, supplied in a 30 ml bottle. The concentration and grade are held to USP specification, which makes the solution suitable where a defined, reproducible dye strength is required.

It is used as a biological stain in histology and microbiology for contrasting cell nuclei and bacteria, as a redox indicator in analytical and teaching work, and as a tracer dye in aquaculture and water system testing. The solution is water miscible and dilutes readily for staining protocols.
