Nitric Acid HNO3 (68-70%)

Nitric acid (HNO3) supplied here as a concentrated 68-70% laboratory grade solution. It is a strong mineral acid and oxidizer, clear to faintly yellow, and is one of the standard reagents kept for acid digestion and sample preparation in analytical work.

Common uses include metal etching, pickling and refining, assay and prospecting work on gold and silver, the preparation of nitrate salts, and cleaning or oxidizing surfaces in electronics processing. It is corrosive and attacks most metals and organic material, so it calls for acid-resistant containment and appropriate protective equipment.
