Cyanuric Acid Powder - Pool Cleaner, Water Conditioner, Reducer, Fire Retardant, Lab Reagent

Cyanuric acid is supplied as a reagent grade powder. Its main use is as a chlorine stabilizer, or conditioner, in swimming pool water: it binds free chlorine loosely and slows its destruction by sunlight, so an outdoor pool holds a sanitizer residual for longer. Typical pool water levels sit in the 30 to 50 ppm range.

It is also used in water conditioning outside pools, as a nitrogen-rich component in fire retardant formulations, and as a laboratory reagent and precursor in triazine chemistry.
