Potassium Ferricyanide Lab Grade 99+% Purity Cyanotype, Electroplating

Potassium ferricyanide is a red crystalline iron complex salt, supplied lab grade at 99+% purity in a 50 gram quantity. It is water soluble and acts as a mild oxidizing agent in aqueous systems.

In darkroom photography it is the oxidizer in Farmer's reducer for bleaching silver prints and negatives, and it is one of the two sensitizer components in classic cyanotype printing. It is also used in electroplating and metal finishing baths, in blueprint and etching processes, and as an analytical reagent for iron and reducing sugars. The salt is toxic and should be kept away from acids.
