Indigo Naturalis Powder 99+% Purity

Indigo naturalis powder, also known as qing dai, at 99+% purity. It is a deep blue powder prepared from the leaves and stems of indigo-bearing plants such as Baphicacanthus cusia and Isatis indigotica, and it carries the indigo, indirubin and tryptanthrin fractions characteristic of the traditional material.

It is used as a natural blue pigment for textile dyeing, inks and artists' colors, and in traditional Chinese medicine preparations and topical balms. In pigment form it is not water-soluble, so it is dispersed rather than dissolved, and it is normally sold without additives or extenders.
