Ethanol (99%) Ethyl Alcohol Lab Grade

Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) at 99 percent is a reagent-grade solvent supplied in 500 ml bottles. It is a clear, flammable liquid that evaporates quickly and leaves little residue, with low water content for work that is sensitive to moisture.

It is used for preparing laboratory reagents and stock solutions, as a reaction and recrystallization solvent in organic chemistry, and for botanical and natural product extraction including tinctures and essential oil work. It also serves for cleaning and disinfecting glassware, instruments and work surfaces, and as a carrier in inks, shellac, coatings and cosmetic formulation.
