25g Mercury Metal

Mercury metal is supplied as 25 grams of the liquid element, laboratory grade. It is the only metal that is liquid at room temperature, with a density of 13.534 g/cm3, a bright silver surface and high electrical conductivity.

It is used in thermometers, barometers, manometers and other instruments, in electrical switches and relays, in amalgam work including dental amalgam and prospecting and assay applications, and as a reagent and electrode material in the laboratory. Mercury and its vapor are toxic, and it is normally kept in sealed containers over a contained surface.
