1oz Benzoin Essential Oil

Benzoin essential oil is produced from the resin of the Styrax benzoin tree and is supplied here in a one-ounce bottle. It is a thick, slow-pouring liquid with a warm, sweet, balsamic odor, and it is flammable, so keep it away from ignition sources.

Perfumers use it chiefly as a base note and fixative, where it slows the evaporation of lighter materials and adds vanilla-like depth. It is also blended into soaps, candles, and incense for the same reason, and appears in skincare and aromatherapy formulations. The oil is viscous enough that gentle warming makes measuring easier.
