Benzoin essential oil, derived from the resin of the Styrax benzoin tree native to Southeast Asia, is a thick, resinous oil known for its sweet, warm, vanilla-like aroma. Unlike most essential oils, it is obtained through solvent extraction of the hardened tree resin, often blended with ethanol to improve pourability.
