1lb Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) supplied as 1 lb of resin. PVC is a rigid, chemically resistant thermoplastic, stable to acids, alkalis and most solvents, which is why it is used so widely in piping, cable insulation, sheet goods and medical tubing.

In this form it serves as a feedstock for compounding, molding and casting, as an additive in coatings and cements, and as a chlorine donor in color-producing pyrotechnic compositions. It can be pigmented, plasticized to almost any hardness, and recycled through normal thermoplastic routes.
