Yellow Iron Oxide Powder 99% Purity Lab Grade

Yellow iron oxide is a lab grade synthetic pigment at 99 percent purity, supplied as a fine powder. It is a hydrated iron oxide with a clean ocher-yellow tone, good opacity, and resistance to ultraviolet light, alkalis and ordinary weathering.

It is used to color concrete, mortar and other construction materials, and as a pigment in paints, coatings and plastics. Ceramicists use it in glazes, slips and underglazes, keeping in mind that it shifts toward red and brown as firing temperature rises. It is free of heavy metals and blends easily with red and black oxides for intermediate earth tones.
