Brown Iron Oxide Powder

Brown iron oxide is a synthetic inorganic pigment supplied as a finely milled powder. It gives a mid-tone earthy brown with warm orange undertones, and it is lightfast, non-toxic and resistant to alkalis, acids, solvents and sunlight.

It is used to tint concrete, mortar, pavers and cement render toward terra-cotta and warm earth shades, and as a colorant in acrylic, oil, latex and linseed paints and in industrial coatings. It also works in ceramic glazes and slips, soap and cosmetic bases, epoxy resin, polymer clay, candle wax, wood stain and lime plaster. Tinting strength is high, so it goes a long way.
