Ferrous Iron (II) Sulfate Powder High Purity

Ferrous sulfate, iron (II) sulfate, is supplied as a high purity crystalline powder in one-pound quantities. As the heptahydrate, FeSO4.7H2O, it is the pale green-blue solid long known as green vitriol, and it dissolves readily in water to give a green solution that turns yellow-brown as it oxidizes in air.

It is used as a soil amendment and moss control product in agriculture and gardening, as an iron source and mordant in natural dyeing and in iron-gall ink, as an aging stain for wood, and as a reducing agent and analytical reagent in the laboratory. It also grows well-formed crystals.
