Charcoal Powder Mixed Hardwood Airfloat

Airfloat charcoal powder is milled from mixed hardwoods such as oak and maple to a very fine particle size, typically finer than 100 to 200 mesh. It is the fine charcoal grade used as a fuel in black powder and related pyrotechnic compositions, where the high surface area gives a fast and consistent burn.

The powder screens and disperses easily and granulates readily with dextrin or other binders. Airfloat grades are also used as a black pigment, as a filler in refractory and casting work, and for general laboratory and art applications.
