Charcoal Powder Mixed Hardwood 36 Mesh

Mixed hardwood charcoal powder screened to 36 mesh is the coarse charcoal grade used where longer-burning particles are wanted. In pyrotechnics it is the usual fuel for gold and orange spark effects, charcoal streamer stars, comets, and rocket tails, since the larger particles are thrown clear and continue to burn, producing the characteristic bushy tail.

It is milled from mixed hardwoods such as oak and maple and screened for consistent particle size, so it mixes and granulates predictably. Coarse charcoal is also used as a soil amendment, a filtration medium, and a drawing material.
