Ammonium Dichromate 99% Purity Lab Grade

Ammonium dichromate is an orange crystalline chromium salt, offered as 99% purity reagent grade material in a 100 g quantity. It is a hexavalent chromium compound and is both an oxidizer and a toxin, so it should be handled with the controls appropriate to chrome(VI) work.

Common uses include preparation of chromium oxide and other chromium compounds, chromium-based catalyst work, sensitizing dichromated colloids for photographic and screen-printing processes, and analytical and staining procedures in the lab. It is also the classic demonstration compound for the decomposition reaction familiar to chemistry instructors.
