Sodium Oxalate Powder 99% Lab Grade

Sodium oxalate (Na₂C₂O₄) is an odorless white crystalline powder supplied at 99% purity, lab grade. Its principal analytical use is as a primary standard for redox titrations, notably the standardization of potassium permanganate solutions.

It also serves as a reducing agent and as a source of oxalate ion in precipitation and solubility work, which makes it a common teaching-lab reagent. In pyrotechnics it is used as a sodium-bearing organic fuel in yellow-emitting compositions. Oxalates are toxic; avoid ingestion and keep dust down.
