Silicon Carbide Powder -325 Mesh 99%+ Purity Lab Grade

Silicon carbide is a synthetic ceramic abrasive supplied as a -325 mesh powder at 99%+ purity, lab grade. It is among the hardest industrial materials in common use and holds its hardness, thermal conductivity and chemical resistance at high temperature.

This fine grade is used as a lapping and polishing abrasive, as a raw material for sintered and reaction-bonded ceramics and refractory shapes, and as an additive in metal matrix composites and friction materials. It is also used in ceramic glazes for local reduction effects and in electronics and materials research.
