Titanium Flake -40-150 Mesh

Titanium flake in the -40 to +150 mesh range, supplied as 1 lb of hammer-milled irregular flake at 99%+ titanium. The flake morphology is coarser and more angular than spherical powder or sponge, and that shape is what determines how the material burns.

Titanium at this particle size is used in pyrotechnics as a spark-producing metal fuel, giving the branching white-gold sparks seen in fountains, gerbs, comets and stars. Outside pyrotechnics it is used in metal-filled coatings, in sintering and metallurgical work, and as a getter material in vacuum systems.
