Titanium Dihydride Powder 100-140 Mesh Lab Grade

Titanium dihydride (TiH₂) powder is supplied lab grade in a 100-140 mesh cut, as a dark gray to black free-flowing powder. Heated, it decomposes and releases hydrogen, which is the basis of most of its applications.

In powder metallurgy it is sintered with titanium alloys to scavenge oxygen and carbon, and its decomposition serves as the blowing agent that produces porous titanium and metal foams. It is also used as a solid-state hydrogen source in storage and fuel cell research, and as a reactive metal fuel in pyrotechnic and igniter compositions.
