Ferro-Titanium Powder -30+60 Mesh

Ferro-titanium is an iron-titanium alloy supplied as a granular silvery-gray powder in a -30+60 mesh cut, in a 1 lb quantity. The alloy behaves differently from either metal on its own, and the coarse graded size is chosen for the spark effect rather than for reactivity.

In pyrotechnics it is used as a spark-producing metal in fountains, comets, gerbs and star compositions, giving dense yellow-white to gold sparks with pronounced branching and long hang time. It is also used as an alloying addition and deoxidizer in steelmaking.
