Aluminum Bright Flake Powder -325 Mesh

Aluminum bright flake is a flake-form aluminum powder milled to -325 mesh. The flat platelet particles orient parallel to the surface as a coating dries, which is what gives a bright mirror-like metallic finish rather than the dull gray of a spherical powder, and the fine particle size disperses evenly in paint.

It is used as a pigment in metallic automotive paints, industrial and powder coatings, printing inks and craft finishes, where it also adds some barrier protection against moisture and light. Flake aluminum is used in pyrotechnics as a metal fuel for bright silver effects.
