Potassium Dichromate Powder 99% Purity Lab Grade

Potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) is an orange crystalline powder supplied at lab grade, 99 percent purity. It is a strong oxidizing agent and a classical primary standard in analytical chemistry, used in redox titrations for iron and other reducing agents and in chemical oxygen demand testing.

Industrially it is used in chromate pigment production, leather tanning, metal treatment and corrosion inhibition, and traditional photographic processes such as gum bichromate and carbon printing. It is both a strong oxidizer and a toxic hexavalent chromium compound, and is stored away from combustible material.
