Phenolic Resin Fine Powder 99+% Purity - For Making Bakelite, Pyrotechnics

Phenolic resin is a synthetic thermosetting polymer produced by the reaction of phenol with formaldehyde, supplied here as a fine powder at 99+% purity. Cured, it forms a hard, dimensionally stable material with good thermal and chemical resistance.

It is the base polymer for Bakelite and for molded electrical insulators, friction and brake materials, foundry sand binders, laminates and industrial coatings. In pyrotechnics it is used as a fuel and binder where heat resistance and strength are wanted. The dust is an irritant; handle it with ventilation and appropriate protection.
