Magnalium -200 Mesh MG/AL Alloy Powder 99%+ Purity

Magnalium powder, a magnesium-aluminum alloy at a nominal 50:50 ratio, supplied at -200 mesh and 99%+ purity. It is a gray, free-flowing powder, more reactive than aluminum alone but less prone to corrosion and gas evolution than magnesium.

In pyrotechnics it is used as a metal fuel for bright white light and for glitter, strobe and crackle effects in fountains, stars and comets. It is also used in metallurgy as a grain refiner in aluminum casting, in exothermic welding, and in specialty alloy production. Store it dry, since fine magnesium alloys are moisture sensitive.
