Chlorowax Powder (Chlorinated Paraffin Wax)

Chlorowax is a chlorinated paraffin wax supplied as a free-flowing powder. Its chlorine content makes it useful both as a chlorine donor and as a plasticizing solid that stays stable at elevated temperature.

Industrially it is used as a secondary plasticizer in PVC compounds for flooring, cable insulation, hose and synthetic leather, as a flame-retardant additive in paints, coatings, rubber and textiles, and as an extreme-pressure additive in cutting oils and metalworking fluids. In pyrotechnics it is used as a chlorine donor in colored flame compositions, where available chlorine improves color saturation.
