Alumina Hydrate, Hydrated Alumina, Alumina Trihydrate Fine Powder 99+% Purity

Alumina hydrate, also sold as hydrated alumina or alumina trihydrate, is a fine white powder at 99+% purity. Potters use it as a glaze addition, where it stiffens the melt, discourages running and helps produce matte and crystalline surfaces, and as a kiln wash ingredient.

Industrially it is the common flame retardant filler in resins, plastics and cast solid surface materials, since it releases water when heated. It also serves as a feedstock for calcined alumina, as a catalyst support and as an adsorbent.
