Alumina Ceramic Balls 1/2" For Ball Milling Corrosion Resistant

These alumina ceramic balls are 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) high-alumina grinding media at 99.7 percent Al2O3. They are hard at Mohs 9 and dense at roughly 3.6 to 3.8 g per cubic centimeter, and they wear slowly, so they grind efficiently while adding little contamination to the charge.

They are used as media in ball mills, planetary mills, and vibratory mills for ceramic bodies, glazes, frits, pigments, minerals, and electronic materials, in wet or dry milling. The alumina is corrosion resistant, thermally stable, essentially non-absorbent, and introduces no iron.
