Copper Carbonate Fine Powder

Copper carbonate (CuCO3) is a green powder supplied at lab grade in a fine, uniform particle size. It is a convenient copper(II) source that decomposes to copper oxide on heating, which makes it easy to introduce copper into high-temperature processes.

In ceramics it is used in glazes for turquoise and green colors and for reds and metallic surfaces under reduction. It also serves as a pigment in paints and artist colors, as a copper source for catalysts and wood preservatives, as a fungicide and antifouling component, and as a green colorant in pyrotechnic compositions.
